ROBBERY CASH BONANZA!

THERE was a loud bang as the thugs blew the cash-in-transit truck wide open to get their hands on the loot.
But they were not the only people with a lust for dirty money.
Residents and passersby at Maseding section in Makapanstad, North West also rushed to the scene to grab as much cash as they could!
The G4S truck carrying money was attacked by robbers driving an Audi A4 on Friday.
After the thugs had grabbed what they wanted and left, residents ran to pick up cash scattered on the road before the cops arrived.
The truck was apparently coming back from Tladistad Village when the incident happened.
North West police spokesman Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said about 10 suspects targeted the truck carrying an undisclosed amount of cash.
“Police were on the scene quickly but the suspects had fled, leaving some money scattered around the truck.
“Investigations continue and no suspects have been arrested,” said Mokgwabone
  • Another cash-in-transit robbery occurred last month on the Makapanstad road.
It happened near Bosplaas on 18 October.
The driver of the G4S truck told police the passenger of a passing silver-grey Mercedes-Benz shot at the truck’s tyres and he lost control of the vehicle.
A silver-grey Audi joined in and suspects in both vehicles continued shooting at the truck’s window.
The suspects used explosives to gain access to the cash and fled in the direction of Makapanstad.
No injuries were reported.
