ourteen people were left injured following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred at the Bill Bezuidenhout and Ragland Road intersection in Bellville in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics, along with Metro Rescue, Fire and other services, arrived on the scene to find both the taxi and light motor vehicle lying on their sides in the middle of the intersection.
"The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicles and were found on the side of the road.
"Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one man had sustained serious injuries while thirteen others had sustained minor to moderate injuries," said ER24.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.
The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
