Uzalo's production stopped due to non-payment of cast and crew

One of Mzansi’s most popular shows has shut down production for the rest of the month following a decision by the cast and crew to suspend their services until they’re paid their August salaries, which were due on the 25th.
The production company responsible for Uzalo, Stained Glass Pictures, says they’ve been in communication with the SABC throughout. “We confirm that the corporation has committed to honouring outstanding payments by the end of August 2018.”
Earlier this month Stained Glass Pictures says they called a meeting “with all affected staff to explain the situation and give them the option of either continuing to work until month end or taking immediate leave until payments could be made. The overwhelming majority of the crew elected to keep working until the end of August, so production continued. This demonstrated the team’s continued dedication to the production, their craft and industry as a whole.”
Stained Glass Pictures also said they’ve carried the costs of production for as long as they were able to while waiting for the outstanding payments to be settled by the public broadcaster, according to executive producer of Stained Glass Pictures Pepsi Pokane.
“Since we were unable to make payments on ‘payday’, the 25th of August, the staff has exercised their right to withhold services until they receive their August salaries. We respect that decision and appreciate the work that they have put into the show this month despite the uncertainty. We are in constant communication with the broadcaster and are confident that this will all be resolved in the next week,” Pepsi said.
Neo Momodu, the SABC’s group executive of corporate affairs and marketing and spokesperson, told DRUM that the public broadcaster has engaged with Stained Glass Pictures and they are in a dire financial crisis. “We do not have the funds and we are in constant discussion with the service providers. We remain concerned that this crisis is disrupting operations and we are looking for ways to remedy the situation.”
Neo says they are also seeking assistance from the government.

'WE’RE PREPARED TO DIE FOR LAND EXPROPRIATION WITHOUT COMPENSATION'

'WE’RE PREPARED TO DIE FOR LAND EXPROPRIATION WITHOUT COMPENSATION'

EFF leader Julius Malema has accused President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Democratic Alliance (DA) of colluding with AfriForum to sabotage plans to expropriate land without compensation.
JOHANNESBURG - Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says they're prepared to die if it means South Africa will achieve land expropriation without compensation.
The party has claimed that it's aware of white extremists who are opposed to the policy and are training as snipers in Pretoria to kill them.
Malema was addressing the media on Thursday at the party's headquarters in Braamfontein.
“They will kill us for that. There’s a group of white right-wingers who are being trained by Jews in Pretoria to be snipers…”
He has also accused President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Democratic Alliance (DA) of colluding with AfriForum to sabotage plans to expropriate land without compensation.
This comes after US President Donald Trump's controversial tweet.
“The DA does the same thing. And the DA’s position is the same as AfriForum’s position. Cyril Ramaphosa’s group in the ANC has got a similar position as AfriForum.”

7 REASONS WHY MORNING S3X IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH

It said that adults who have s3x in the morning not only feel upbeat for the day but are also said to benefit from a healthy immune system.

Some people believe it’s best to have s3x at night only. Having s3x at night is like only having s3x in your bed or only having s3x if the lights are off.

Research states that adults who begin their day with that morning glory are happier and healthier than those who opt for a cup of tea.

Here are reasons to have more morning s3x:
1. I’ts a better replacement for coffee.

2. It burns calories. It is said that having sex burns as many calories as an a 30 minutes jog so you can skip the gym.

3. It gives you a unique sense of thrill. When you do something outside of the norm, it turns up the excitement and studies suggest that the brain’s creativity is also at it’s best in the morning.

4. It’s easier to undress in the morning. You don’t have to worry about tight clothes and belts or clothes getting stained by make up.

5. It keeps you healthy. Having s3x can boost your immune system by boosting your IgA which an anti body that protects against getting infections.

6. You’re well rested. After a long day of work all you want to do is rest and sleep so

7. Intimacy. It’s a rare moment to others that’s all to yourself. Your partner gets to experience parts of you that other don’t know. You’re stripped of everything-clothes, makeup, the weight of a day’s events, toothpaste, priorities — and somehow leaves you feeling fuller.

JONAS - GUPTA’S THREATENED TO KILL ME!

FORMER deputy finance minister Mcebisi Jonas says the Gupta's threatened to kill him.
Previously Jonas claimed that the Gupta family offered him R600 000 cash and they said R600 million would be given to him later on, if he accepted the finance minister position.
This happened before former president Jacob Zuma took an extraordinary step and fired Nhlanhla Nene in December 2015 and appointed Des Van Rooyen as finance minister.
Addressing the commission, Jonas said there was no formality when he was removed as deputy Finance Minister.
Jonas says he was never formally told that he would be removed as the deputy minister of finance, and he only saw it on TV that he was removed.
He mentioned that on 22 October 2015, he received a sms from Duduzane Zuma.
According to Jonas the sms read: "Good morning sir, I trust you made it out of the Parliament building unscathed. I tried to call you, please return my call. Kindest regards, Duduzane."
The former deputy minister says following that he met with Duduzane Zuma at a hotel in Rosebank.
Jonas says when Duduzane arrived at the hotel he looked "nervous" and he told him that his father -former president Jacob Zuma liked him.
He mentions that after meeting with Duduzane at the hotel, Duduzane wanted to meet at a more private location.
Following that they travelled in a car together to a location which turned out to be the Gupta residence in Saxonwold.
Mcebisi said he had never been to that location and it was the first time on that day.
According to Jonas Duduzane Zuma and Fana Hlongwane were present in the room and remained silent when one of the Gupta brothers came into the room and spoke to him.
Jonas says: "Mr Gupta" said to him "the old man likes you".
Following that one of the Gupta brothers told him that Zuma intended firing Nene as finance minister.
"You must understand that we are in control of everything, the National Prosecuting Authority, the Hawks, and the National Intelligence Agency,”
“The old man will do anything we tell him to do," Jonas says one of the Gupta brothers told him.
"He said that the old man intended appointing me (Jonas) as the minister of finance."
He added that he was shocked and angered.
"At the end of the meeting Mr Gupta repeated that they had information on me, and if I suggested that the meeting had occurred, they would kill me," told the inquiry.
Jonas says he told Nene what happened at the Gupta residence, but Nene suggested that he would resign.
Mcebisi says he didn’t report the incident to the police, the Hawks or NPA, because those institutions were seriously compromised.

I WAS FORCED TO WORK AS A S-EX SLAVE!

HUMAN trafficking is real and happening in Mzansi.
This is what speakers said at a seminar on human trafficking held at Unisa’s college of law in Tshwane yesterday.
Grizelda Grootboom, a lecturer and researcher at Unisa, spoke about her painful story.
She said she was forced to work as a s-ex slave at the age of 18 when she moved from Cape Town to Joburg.
“I wanted to start a new life but instead I was trafficked when I arrived in Yeoville.
“I was locked in a room for two weeks and forced to work as a s-ex slave,” she said. Grizelda said she eventually managed to escape at the age of 27 and rebuilt her life.
Another speaker, Marcel van der Watt, a lecturer at Unisa said: “The more people act against human trafficking, the faster we will be able to eradicate it completely.”
He called on the media to start naming and shaming the perpetrators of human trafficking.
“The names of these people should be known to the public so that other people, especially women, don’t fall prey to them.”
Van der Watt said human trafficking was happening around us and that every day a girl or woman was being trafficked.

Distruction Boys Dancer arrested for Rapping his 13 Years old Neighbour

Afrotainment dancer, Sgaqah, (real name Nhlanhla Chiliza) had been arrested in Lamontville, Durban on Monday on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl who is believed to be a neighbour of his.

Chiliza, who is part of DJ Tira’s Amadada dance crew, was allegedly arrested at the victim’s house while trying to convince her family to drop the charges against him.

He then appeared in the Durban Magistrates Court yesterday for a bail hearing, where he pleaded not guilty. Chiliza told the court he had no previous convictions or pending cases and that he had two children to take care of with his R15 000 salary.

According to Report, Chiliza stated (in an affidavit that was read out in court), “my kids will starve if I’m kept in custody.”

The case's investigating officer Sergeant Edmund Nkomo argued that he had not been handed Chiliza's passport and the defendant was therefore a flight risk. Prosecutor, Ntsiki Qhunyiso, also told the court Chiliza had failed to provide exceptional circumstances for why the court should release him on bail. “This is a serious case that involves the rape of a minor victim,” added Qhunyiso.

“This allegation against him does not go well with him. He has not been himself since he was arrested,” said Chiliza's lawyer, Sandile Shoba, who insisted that his client was not guilty and has been cooperative with law enforecement since his arrest.

Chiliza was denied bail and Magistrate Boniwe Ngcobo.
