MEN BUST WITH ILLEGAL GUNS!

TWO men will be kept in jail after appearing in the Komatipoort Magistrates Court on Monday.
The suspects, aged 17 and 35, are facing charges of smuggling and dealing in illegal firearms and ammunition after they were bust near the border in
Komatipoort, Mpumalanga, last week.
According to the cops, when the suspects were arrested it was discovered that they were planning to sell the firearms to a buyer.

Police recovered AK47 rifles from suspects in Komatipoort.
Police spokesman Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said a total of seven AK47 rifles, 180 rounds of ammunition and a Toyota Hilux double-cab bakkie were recovered.
“One of the AK47 rifles was discovered fastened against the exhaust system underneath the vehicle,” Naidoo told the People’s Paper.
“All the rifles will be sent for ballistic testing to the SAPS forensic science laboratory.
“These weapons are among those generally used to commit aggravated robberies such as cash-in-transit heists, vehicle hijackings and house and business robberies.”
